Detailed Protocols
These detailed protocols were designed
by the NANaGISA Center to assist collaborators and potential researchers to
determine exactly how to sample transects, how to process samples and how
to analyze data. This protocol should be treated as a minimum requirement
so that data can be equally compared on larger scales. All data will eventually
go into an international database being set up by OBIS. Suggestions for additional
processing and analyses are always welcome. We encourage scientists to contribute
to the worldwide nearshore biodiversity inventory by using the NaGISA protocol,
possibly as a baseline for other studies of individual or regional interests.
